Food Pyramid Breakdown: 2 grains, 3 proteins, 2 vegetables, 1 fruit
One "Kangaroo Pocket Full of Chicken Salad"
Beverage: 1 diet soda
 
The low calorie recipe for Kangaroo Pocket Full of Chicken Salad
 
Lower Calorie, Lower Fat Recipe Ingredients:
3-ounces of drained cooked canned chicken (150 calories)
1 cup of chopped lettuce or baby spinach
5-6 cherry tomatoes
1/4 cup of sliced mushrooms
1 teaspoon of raisins (golden or dark)
1 teaspoon of hulled sunflower seeds (optional)
1/2 chopped small apple
2 Tablespoons of Miracle Whip LIGHT Mayo
1 whole-wheat pita pocket (large - about 6 inches in diameter and 170 calories)
 
Mix all ingredients except pita - then fill both sides of the pita.
