If you have a desk job, try the following tips to assist
in faster weight loss:
- Keep away from those snack
and soda machines. Instead, opt to bring your own healthy
mix of snacks and lunch entrees. Additional perk? You'll
save $$.
- Get up and move whenever possible.
- Take the stairs over the elevator
when you can.
- Stretch your legs and arms
at your desk as stretching helps burn calories as well
as works your muscles.
- Keep stress out of the work
place. If you have a misunderstanding with a friend
or family member, let it rest until you get off work.
Focusing on your relationship problems while at work
takes your mind off of your job responsibilities and
only serves to accomplish negative things. On the other
hand, if you work for a stressful boss, get busy locating
another job. Believe me, there are jobs out there where
the boss treats you like an equal rather than playing
the part of master and king.
- If someone brings in treats,
enjoy one and be done.
- Don't skip breaks. A break
will sharpen your awareness and you'll make less mistakes
and feel less tired at the end of your work day.
- Make use of any fitness amenities
that your company provides - from the fitness center
to a walking trail.
- Volunteer for activities outside
of the office that your company may sponsor. This
will give you a break from your routine and provide
extra activity while doing something notable for your
community.
