More Food in Diet

Do you find it challenging to fit enough food into your daily diet? Those caloric values can certainly add up quickly.

For example, one package of six cinnamon rolls equals about 1360 kcals. We have enough room to add only a few more energy values if we're on a diet plan. Many fat reduction plans contain as little as 1400 to 1500 kcals.

Food Choices Matter, Caloric Content & Nutrient Content

So simply put - the foods that we choose to input into our day truly do matter.

With more food, we'll feel more satisfied and we'll also be more likely to intake adequate amounts of essential vitamins and minerals.

On this note, we have created the following Calorie Chart containing a tab over 1800 calories. Just look at all the food that we have managed to fit into our day.

Appearance of Your Food Impacts Flavor

Our eyes speak to our heart and to our brain. Fact is, when our meal plate looks as attractive as possible, it makes us think that the food tastes better.

I have a personal story to share that is along this topic. When one of my sons was celebrating his sixth birthday, I splurged and purchased him an Oscar the Grouch cake at a local Kroger's store. It looked so delicious - Oscar atop a garbage can. He was all green.

At the time, money was tight. In fact, it's been like that for the majority of my life - scrimping here and trying to save money there, so it was a sacrifice when I purchased the cake. And although it looked tasty, it tasted horrible.

The entire family - from grandpa and grandma to aunts and uncles could not eat the cake. I should have returned it but I was so shy at the time I couldn't even think about doing that. Forty years later - YES, I would have returned it.

So there are exceptions to foods looking attractive, but which do fall short of flavor - but more often than not, when we make our meals pretty  they will taste better.

Use Smaller Plates & Glasses to Feel Like You're Eating or Drinking More

You'll serious feel like you're getting more food and will be more apt to be satisfied in eating less food.

Use Seasonings Freely as Well as Extracts

These are all calorie free and can up the flavor in bland foods. While dieting - we need to experience flavorful foods, not bland.
