January Dieter
Time
to pause and evaluate your weight loss plan
because this time, you're going all the
'weigh'!
To ensure
that you lose all that extra weight, it's
important to take time to pause to evaluate
your diet plan. If a hot-spot is detected,
it must be fixed asap so you can continue
to move forward with your weight loss plan.
Never
forget that you're not a pawn, rather a
Queen (or King as the case may be) moving
forward with the goal of putting your weight
gain in Checkmate. It only takes one unexpected
bump on the board to upset the best
of diet plans.
Keeping
the above in mind, here are a few examples
of what to look for if you're a January
Dieter:
Weight
Loss - Your
weight scales should be registering some
happy numbers. If you are not experiencing
weight loss, it's time to take a good gander
at your daily diet.
Diet
Bites recommends adding up everything you
eat over a three day period then dividing
it by three. From there, determine if your
caloric intake is in excess OR too restrictive.
A too-restrictive diet slows down the weight
loss process.
More
Energy - If
you began your diet at the beginning of
January, you should be feeling more energetic.
If
you have paired your diet with an activity
plan (by the way, you get a gold star for
that), those sore muscle days should be
a thing of the past. At this point you may
even want to consider extending your activity
period. You may even volunteer to mow your
mean old mother in law's lawn in the dead
of winter.
The
Shrink - If
you began your diet at the beginning of
January, your body should be shrinking as
the numbers decrease on your weight scales.
People should be noticing that you look
much healthier these days. Hold your head
high because you deserve it!
Weight
Loss Perks - If
you began your diet at the beginning of
January, you may also be feeling any of
the following: happier, more motivated,
mental fog is dissipating, and you may even
be experiencing a perkier private life (oh
my).
If
your diet isn't producing good results,
it's time to adjust your Diet Sails. Here's
how:
Examine daily calorie intake; not too
low & not too high.
Examine daily activity level; get moving!
Examine daily snacks; grab fruit.
Examine daily fiber consumption; fiber
controls appetite.
Examine daily fat intake; everyone needs
fat.
Examine your Diet Attitude.
