Diet Bites - The Diet Genie - Diet Tricks & Tips That Work Magically!

Pirates, Mermaids, Thieves, Barbarians, Coves, Magic - Dieting is such hard work!

Our Diet Genie has some stellar tips that can assist with impressive weight loss results. They are so easy that we like to think of them as 'magical' weight loss tips - but of course, that's a tab over the top.

The Diet Genie's suggested articles are listed below. The thing is, when it comes to the number on our weight scales it has more to do with the little things that we do in life rather than those big giant steps.

Let's take a look into Laura's daily diet and see if we can spot those little things that add up to big pounds on her weight loss scales.

Laura starts her day with a breakfast shake that's filled with vitamins and minerals that her body needs throughout the day. One envelope of her instant breakfast shake contains about 150 calories. She adds 1 cup of skim milk to the powder to equal 250 calories. She also drops by her favorite coffee shop and grabs a fancy coffee. It's just coffee - so how many calories could possibly be inside a cappuccino? Unfortunately for Laura, about 250 calories.

Mid-morning she starts to feel hunger pains, the unpleasant trade-off of a liquid diet or in Laura's case, a liquid breakfast. Because she's had no solid food to eat she purchases a small package of nuts from the vending machine in the break room for 200 calories. When she notes the amount of calories she thinks she may have been better off eating the banana that she'd packed for lunch.

Lunch rolls around and Laura enjoys a peanut butter sandwich, a bag of baked potato chips and the banana. But there's nothing to drink so it's back to the vending machine where she purchases a carton of skim milk. Overall, this would have been a healthy lunch only Laura used giant-sized bread and piled on the peanut butter. She's had enough nuts today to blow away King Kong.

For mid-afternoon break she shares a bag of hot buttered popcorn with a co-worker. Unfortunately for Laura, the bag contains a total of 450 calories and she ate about 3/4ths of the bag as her co-worker was called away.

At the end of the day Laura is so exhausted that she decides to stop by her favorite fast food restaurant and grab a couple of burritos. For 350 calories each she should have only grabbed one. And to top things off she whirls back by her favorite coffee shop for a second round of cappuccino.

So as we can see, it's those little things that add up to really big things when it comes to our weight. With just a few adjustments, Laura could have enjoyed healthier menus for meal time with far fewer calories.
