You're going down The Old Diet Trail, clipping away the pounds! My, this is so easy. Two days on this diet hasn't been any problems at all, you think. Suddenly, you round a tight corner and come to a fork in the road. On one side, Carrot Stick Lane. The other, Boston Creme Pie Road. Oh my - which way to go??? And...and...what is dark hole doing directly beneath the sign post? Lucky for you that you happened across Diet Bites, otherwise you might have missed the Sugar Pit along your Diet Journey. Please, step to the side as you don't want to be anywhere near the infamous Sugar Pit. I mean - don't even get close as it has been known to suck more than one dieter into the deep, deep pit of No Diet Return. So, how bad is sugar to your diet plan? Is it really that damaging? Fact is, sugar and fat are the two culprits in the modern day diet. If not for these two yahoos, most of the world would be thin. Sure, they are both tasty and they can offer pleasure to our taste buds and enrich our lives when enjoyed in moderation. But when we dig our little shovel too deep into the sugar bowl, bad things can happen. We blow up. Our belly gets as big as Santa's and sometimes even bigger. Our eyes may even bulge along with our newly-extended stomach. Our legs start to look like tree trunk rather than legs. Short women may start to resemble fireplugs. Backs of our necks may even start to look like the foods we eat - such as a six-pack of hot dog buns. Oh my, this is horrible and we certainly don't want that happening to us, do we? I should know because it actually happened to me many, many years ago. It was horrible indeed. I felt like I had lost total control over my body - and in actuality I had lost total control over my appetite. So I'm standing here with a bell, ringing it and warning those who visit these walls and halls of Diet Bites that you don't want to take your diet as well as your life in certain directions.
