How Do Subway Calories
Compare to Other Restaurants?

Written by Sky Taylor, Diet Bites

Subway is our favorite restaurant - whether it's fast food or gourmet food, Subway is the most nutritional health stop around.

Better yet, whether we are traveling, or just kicking around at home, a Subway shop is always just around the corner.

Some tend to be more generous than others and depending upon where you go, not all fixings are allowed on the sandwich.

We've asked for baby spinach at some Subway restaurants when traveling and this ingredient was charged as an extra. So be sure to ask which ingredients are included before you start compiling your tasty sandwich.

Subway quality will also vary from restaurant to restaurant. And when you get a bad sandwich or wrap, it might take a body a while before they will want to visit again. But this is true with all restaurants.

Because we like to dine at Subway, we know the ones in our area that are truly concerned about quality and customer service - so those are the ones that we frequent.

The following information is issued on the Subway nutritional folder which can be obtained at any Subway restaurant by simply asking.  Here is how they compare to other restaurants:

Subway 6-inch Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki - 370 calories, 5 grams fat

Subway 6-inch Savory Turkey Breast - 280 calories, 4.5 grams fat

Burger King Original Whopper - 700 calories and 42 grams of fat

Taco Bell Regular Tacos - 3 will cost you 510 calories and 30 grams of fat

KFC Original Recipe Chicken - 1 chicken breast and 1 wing will cost you 530 calories and 28 grams of fat

McDonald's Big Mac - 600 calories and 33 grams of fat.

Subway also points out a great nutritional point - that being, that when dining on a healthy Subway sandwich, it's very east to get in all the recommended daily vegetables.
