Dieting - Saddlebags to Stretch MarksStretch Mark Solutions - How to get rid of stretch marks. You've been working hard to ditch all that unwanted weight and as you gaze into the mirror you are greeted with a mix of emotions. On one hand, those leathery saddlebags have turned into silken, shapely hips...etched with stretch marks. How the Diet Heck did this happen? It's enough to make a grown man cry. What will erase these unsightly white, squiqqly lines etched on those new shapely hips? And why are they so bothersome now? They didn't seem to be a big hassle before weight loss ensued. A good place to start is with your dermatologist who may recommend Retin-A cream which has been shown in studies to reduce stretch marks. Be sure to inform your dermatologist if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as all things topical are absorbed by the body. What about laser for stretch marks? Yes, the Code of the Jedi works well in removing stretch marks. Take care though, not to regain the weight or those stretch marks will return. And treatment may not be covered by your insurance as it is considered optional and cosmetic. Some more rather good news? Many thin people also have stretch marks. They come from many natural sources - such as pregnancy, and even growing too fast in certain areas in young adulthood. And, even from previous weight gain. Another very good thing about stretch marks is that they tend to develop in the tummy area, under the upper arms, the breast area, and the thigh area. Most of these areas are generally concealed with clothing. And when they're not, keep in mind that even thin people have stretch marks.... |
