The Power of Diet Imagination

Imagine biting into a lemon.  Did water spring to your mouth?  Ah - it's the power of your imagination - a key that you can use to unlock weight loss.

Isn't it amazing that one only needs to think about biting into a lemon to experience a mouth-watering surprise? No real lemon necessary - just the thought of one.  So let's see how we can use the power of imagination to lose weight:

Diet Meal Time is Diet Fun Time! Too many times a dieter will dread meal times.  Bland looking plate, tasteless meals - with portions so small that even Barbie or Ken wouldn't be satisfied.

Use the power of your Diet Imagination and view healthier foods as power foods for weight loss.  Sure, that broccoli that is missing it's cheesy-looking cap isn't going to be as tasty or as enjoyable to eat, but steamed broccoli topped with a bit of no calorie butter spray is a Diet Beauty in the making.  So green, so lean - come with me to the Diet Casba, Broccoli Baby!

Diet Mood - Too many times a dieter is glum. Let's take a look at Dieter Frank and Dieter Paul:

Dieter Frank: "Rats - I'm on a diet.  I can't have my favorites.  Well, okay, I can have my favorites but they have to be limited.  I hate diet butter and diet cheese.  I don't like exercising either.  What the Diet Heck is fun about that?  I want to have as much as my favorites as I want!  I want real butter!  And real cheese!  And I want to be thin!"

Dieter Paul: "Goody - I'm on a diet and have decided to lose this unwanted weight once and for all. I know that I can't have as much of my favorite foods as I would like but I can still enjoy real butter, real cheese and real everything - just in limitation.  Ha ha, ha ha (hearty laugh).  I will soon be at a weight that is comfortable for me and I will be so much more healthier! I really DO enjoying vacuuming for Helen because all the moving about is helping me to lose weight. To think that I once hated it. Ha ha, ha ha (hearty laugh) Dirt bag's full again, Helen! Ha ha. Oh - I'm going to look so good in my new leaner body! Ha ha, ha ha (hearty laugh)."

Think thin!  So many times, individuals who are locked in a battle of thin over fat continue to see themselves as obese, overweight and so forth.  While dieting, try this thought, "I am already thin - it's just going to take my body a while to catch up."

Do not try to assume how others perceive the shape of your body. It would be an easy-out to say, "Who cares what anyone thinks of how you look!" but it would not be totally true to life.  Fact is, most of us do care about how we are perceived by others, particularly by friends and family members.

But unless they discuss their perceptions, we have no idea of knowing what they are thinking and it is best not to assume - because unfortunately, most of we-humans tend to assume the worst, particularly if we are facing a self-conscious issue.

Believe in yourself and others will believe in you! ~ Sky
