Diet Bites: First of all, we're dying to know why you fell off that wall? Humpty: I dropped my salt shaker, of course! Diet Bites: Was it a 'light' salt shaker? Humpty: Why yes. As you know, I am very Diet Wise as well as Diet Healthy, and Diet Handsome. Being oval indeed rocks! Diet Bites: Are you still low in calories? Humpty: Eggzacto! My egg white contains a scant 17 calories with zero cholesterol. My golden egg yolk contain 59 calories and a lot of cholesterol. Diet Bites: Yes, about two-thirds of the recommended daily limit of 300 mg, right? Humpty: That's no yolk! However, my golden egg yolk has many health strengths and benefits necessary for immunity, healthy skin, healthy nerves and keen vision. Diet Bites: Great! What about calories pertaining to egg preparation? Like...how many calories are in one fried egg? Humpty: 92 calories. Diet Bites: Hard boiled egg? Humpty: A hard boiled egg contains a scant 76 calories. Diet Bites: Poached egg? Humpty: A poached egg contains 76 calories. Diet Bites: Scrambled egg? Humpty: A scrambled egg contains about 100 calories if you make it with a bit of milk like I do. Oh, and being deviled isn't as bad as it's cracked up to be. I love Diet Bites' deviled egg recipe - love it!
Diet Bites: Your thoughts on the popular low carb diets? Humpty: Well, I must say that I'm still in recovery. First, I'm egged from the Diet World because I'm too full of cholesterol. Those egg substitutes practically took over, you know? Diet Bites: Yes, and they're still great for multiple purposes, Humpty - like for those people on cholesterol restricted diets. Humpty: Well, I suppose that I do like that 'half pint carton' look. However, nothing beats the look of a dozen fresh ones lined in two rows. Diet Bites: Carb diets? Humpty: Yes, one of the catapults of my newfound popularity. The low carb diets intensified the results of recently released egg studies which determined that eggs weren't bad at all. They had been targeted, possibly by the those egg substitutes- Diet Bites: Humpty! Humpty: Nonetheless, with egg-breaking health news stating that one egg per day is totally acceptable and healthy - combined with the popularity of the low carb diets, I am on top of the Diet World again. It's eggsplosive - a huge eggsravaganza. A- Diet Bites: That's one egg per day - and that's counting the eggs that are used in preparing all the foods that you eat per day. Humpty: Eggzackly. Diet Bites: Your favorite egg dieting tip? Humpty: Why it's found right here at Diet Bites. Two egg whites to one egg yolk. It knocks the hooey out of cholesterol, doesn't it? Diet Bites: In closing, your thoughts on dying? Humpty: I look forward to it every year! Diet Bites: So, you don't resent the Easter egg coloring tradition? Humpty: No no - not at all. I do prefer to be dyed key lime green to red. It's 'just my color', perfect for my complexion and easier to remove than red. Red makes me look like a blown-up clown's nose, even though it does compliment my yolk. Diet Bites: So, what was really first, the chicken or the egg? Humpty: Neither; from my understanding surrounding all the talk at the hen house, the Colonel was first. Diet Bites: Thank you for visiting with us today Humpty, and for sharing your views with our readers.
