December 31st Jan made the same New Year's resolution that she had made for the last 10 years; to lose weight.

She focused on talk shows featuring prior overweight individuals with inspiring stories of how they scraped it off. By the end of the day she felt as if she'd personally climbed Mount Everest.

 

As Valentine's Day hit Jan decided it wasn't worth punishing herself over the extra weight.

 

She succumbed to larger clothes, larger plates of food and ignored or tolerated insensitive comments from those around her.
