Sodas contain sugar and sugar consumption stimulates a need for more sugar consumption which stimulates yet another need for even more sugar consumption. Oh my, it's a viscous cycle, isn't it? Drinking diet sodas can certainly be of benefit to your diet because you may feel as though you are enjoying a treat. As good - or even as bad as some people think they may be - sodas, whether diet or 'the real thing' just can't take the place of your body's natural needs for pure water.
