THE SUGAR FIX

 

Most of us have certain food categories that we find absolutely irresistible, and one of the most popular is The Sugar Category. In fact, if it wasn't for sugar, I daresay that many individuals would have zero problems in maintaining a healthy weight.

But alas, it does exist and even though there are many fabulous sugar-substitutes on the market these days, the downside is that we must take that little box home and work to prepare our recipe from scratch. And most all sugar-substitutes don't hold up under heat and lose their sweetening powers (see diet tip below).

There are some goodies available at the market that have been prepared with the sugar-substitutes, but they tend to be almost as high in calories as the standard recipe, and very pricey.

 

So every now and then, 'we Sugar Ants' must experience 'The Sugar Fix'. A sugar fix can actually be a positive thing for your diet because if you incorporate the foods that your tastebuds are passionate about, you'll be more apt to stay on The Old Diet Trail.

The downside is the ability to control how much sugar you shoot into your diet. I know...this almost sounds like we're doing drugs, doesn't it? And in an unfortunate way, we are because the more sugar that we eat, the more that our bodies crave.
