Pyramid - Dieter Dick's Great Fall

Dick
was on a diet. He had been so careful, climbing
around the Food Pyramid all day - going from level
to level. His Diet Day had started out very
well on the Bread, Cereal, Rice and Pasta Level
with Dieter Dick
choosing a healthy bowl of whole grain cereal for
breakfast.
A
couple of hours later, Dieter Dick was enjoying
a delicious plum from the Fruit Level. And
much of the day had progressed in this manner with
Dick choosing healthy items from the storehouse
of the old Food Pyramid.
And
then it happened.
Dick
had been emerged in the bowels of an intense segment
of a reality television show when the munchies had
hit him. Munchies are quite different from
the hungries, as any practiced dieter can vouch.
Nonetheless, Dieter Dick ran into the kitchen,
pulled open the fridge and that's when his
eye caught sight of a lovely pepperoni pizza - the
pizza he'd ordered from Frankie's Pizza Joint just
before his diet - the pizza that he had set inside
the fridge for later because his love muffin, Teresa
had called him and suggested Mexican for the
evening. And who can resist a twangy guitar
nested in the midst of hot sauce and chips?
Resting
beside the pizza was his old trusty snack favorite
- carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.
It
had began with a gentle stroke as Dieter Dick cradled
the small package containing the carrot cake in
his hand. And then he went and stiffed it
and it was all over. Five minutes later, he
had devoured the carrot cake and was half-way through
the pepperoni pizza.
As
soon as the reality show ended, he was putting everything
away (i.e. the empty containers in the trash) when
he happened to take a peek at the labels. What
he saw made the Grown Dieter Dick cry:
- Pizza:
Servings, 16 at 475 calories per serving.
- Carrot
Cake: Servings per package, 2. 650 calories
per serving.
Moral
of Diet Story:
Falling from high places should only be attempted
for those dieters named Humpty. Before television
time, it's a really good idea for dieters to plan
out some savvy snacks just in case the munchies
creep up unexpectedly.
