Diet Enemies That Sabatoge Diets - Diet and Body

The following are a few cute, but naughty Diet Enemies that you will meet as you journey along The Old Diet Trail.  For most of us, when we aren't in Diet Mode, these little buggers might be our best friends!

Meet Cal - Diet Enemy #7

It’s astonishing how slowly time flies when you’re trying to lose weight.  You may have begun your diet quest this morning, yet it seems years ago.  It's NOT easy counting calories - counting everything that you eat!  You just want to ride off into the Wild Blue Yonder, and rush to your favorite powdered donut shop!

Your best diet defense for Diet Enemy #7:  This Enemy requires a lot of positive action on your part. You must strategically plan out your meals so that you take in enough calories to a) Meet your minimum daily requirement and, b) Eat enough to feel full and, c) Ensure that nutritional values are met.

Think and plan your meals wisely.  If you go overboard, make it up with exercise.  But don't go too overboard or you'll be making it up with GUILT and that's a totally non-productive mode to become locked into.

Use a bit of mind games to help get you through your diet.  Think about all of the benefits of your diet - health, looks, etc.

Meet Niteowl - Diet Enemy #8

If you tend to like the night life, you must teach yourself the art of refusing night goodies. Unfortunately, it's virtually impossible to burn off those night time snacks. They tend to RUN straight to our hips to hide.

Your best diet defense for Diet Enemy #8: Eat dinner before 6 PM if possible.  If you enjoy watching TV, try to move about during the commercials.  Resist the buttery popcorn and munch on raw veggies instead.  NO - leave that Ranch Dressing alone!!!
