YOUR DIET & THE STRESS CONNECTION Stress can trigger excess, unwanted weight There are a lot of health-related problems associated with being overweight. In turn, there are perhaps an equal amount of health-related problens associated with stress. Most of us know that being overweight, or not seeing that 'magic' number on our weight loss scales is very stressful and those negative thoughts and feelings generally follow us throughout our day, i.e. STRESS.
'Evolving' - Try not to focus on feeling bad about being overweight. Instead, think this, "I am working daily on improving my eating pattern and my weight is slowly shrinking. 'Situations/Related' = Many times, we are more concerned about what other people think about us and tend to blow 'what they might be thinking' out of proportion. Think of someone that really gets your goat. Is this person continually on your mind? Of course not! You are more concerned with your own life than the lives of others - and so are they! 'Triggers' - Take note of your eating pattern when a stressful situation arrises. You may be able to head it off at the pass! |
