What is a Calorie? | How Many Calories Makes One Pound? | Burning Calories | Walking 1 Mile Burns How Many Calories? | Google +1 WATER - FILL 'ER UP FOR WEIGHT LOSS!Written by Diet Bites
Water is a wonderful thing. It's beautiful and clear. It can taste wonderful - depending upon how it's processed and where one lives. And best of all, it's calorie free. Water can assist with weight loss in multiple ways. For one, zero calorie drinks can be prepared with water. For two, water is very filling. And for three - those zero calories are difficult to beat. For ONE WEEK, try the following Diet Experiment to see if water can assist in helping you shed some unwanted pounds; weigh the morning you start and again on the first morning after your experiment has ended - on the eighth day. For one week, drink 6-8 CUPS of water each and every day THROUGHOUT the day and not all at once. Drinking an excess of water at one setting can actually be lethal as it creates an imbalance in the electrolytes in the body (calcium, potassium and sodium). Make sure that you're drinking actual water and not water in the form of a soda, vegetable juice, coffee, tea, etc. It needs to be water. In addition, make sure that you're not just running water into a glass. A glass does not always equal a cup. Eight ounces equals one cup. If you have a favorite drinking glass or cup simply use a one cup measuring cup and pour water into the container. You'll know where to fill your container going forward without the use of the measuring cup. As a note the official pyramid recommends eight 8-ounce cups of water per day for optimum health. Because we are all different you may require a little less or a little more. Also take note that the types of activity that we perform throughout the day influence our fluid intake. A construction worker who is working in the summer heat will require more liquid per day than a secretary working in an air-conditioned office at her desk all day with little movement throughout the day. Therefore, use your own discretion on the amount of additional liquids you consume.
The Wonderful Health Benefits of Water Water aids in flushing impurities out of the body and is a great booster for the old kidneys. It also helps keeping skin looking alive and healthy! And it's also a great tool for weight loss because the water helps keep you feeling full. After the week is ended, you may actually discover that you don't crave sodas, coffee, tea, etc. as you did before your Diet Experiment. The more you drink water, the less you'll crave the sweet beverages. See how well you do at the end of the week. If the numbers on your weight loss scales went down, this may be all that you need to do to ensure Weight Loss Success! Again - do take note not to overdo with the water. Drinking large volumes of water creates a disturbance in the electrolytes of the body and can cause serious health damage, including death.
