    DIETING - A FREE SAMPLE OF A SIMPLE DIET MENU

Proteins include: lean meat, eggs, nuts and beans.  Grains include: bread, cereal, rice and pasta.

So, just how much of each food group should you be eating?

Fruits - 2-4
Vegetables - 3-5
Proteins - 2-3
Fats - sparingly
Dairy - 2-3
Grains - 6-11

Why aren't the serving amounts set in stone?  Because everyone requires a different amount of 'energy' each and every day to keep their body in motion. A big guy, for example, may require the maximum recommendations.  A small woman may require the minimal recommendations.

A sample SIMPLE menu:
 

Breakfast:

1 fruit plus 1 protein plus 1 dairy plus 2 grains

Mid-Morning Snack:

1 fruit

Lunch:

2 vegetables plus 1 protein plus 2 grains plus 1 fruit plus bit of fat plus 1 dairy 

Mid-Afternoon Snack:

1 fruit

Early & Light Dinner:

1 protein plus 2 vegetables plus 2 grains plus 1 fruit plus 1 dairy

Bedtime Snack:

1 fruit
