No Time to Diet, Tips for Weight Loss

Do you often find yourself running around the building and catching yourself at the corner? Such is life. But the sordid fact remains that no matter who we are or how important we are, the world was running just fine before we entered and it will continue to do such once when it's our time to depart.

More often than not, we create work for ourselves. While we love our kids more than life - having kids equals work. When we aren't working to clothe and feed them, we're striving to make their lives better than the one we experienced as a child.

And if it's not kids creating more work - then it's our pets or our job as we continually work harder to get ahead. And at the end of life, what do we have to show for our efforts? Even the richest man on earth has a tiny amount of possessions in comparison to the world.

This was never more clear to me than recently when an auction was held for one of the richest men in the area who had passed over that great rainbow in the sky. The auction contained an RV which was a few years old, a large building on the property which held a massive amount of tools and implements; then there was a boat as well as the furniture in the home and personal possessions. All-in-all, it just wasn't that much. This dear man has spent his entire life working to amass a small fortune - yet the amount of treasure couldn't possibly equate into the work which he had produced to garner these treasures.

So does this mean that we should all just relax? Rest - and never have kids or pets that may cause us work? Of course not - if those are our joys, our desires. The important thing is to make sure that what we are working towards is tackled with all we have to give.

Such is the case with weight loss.

When we tackle a weight loss plan, we may go at full force at the beginning - but as time marches forward, we wane. We long for our former favorite foods - we don't enjoy having to watch everything that we put between our lips. We don't enjoy languorous hours of activity that will enhance our weight loss results.

But oh my - just as in the situation where kids, family and pets are involved, the end-rewards are great. Even where personal possessions are involved - the personal satisfaction and enjoyment that one might feel over a new sewing machine or kitchen appliance or a garden tiller are very rewarding and justify all the hard work that went into having the ability to purchase the items, even if we were miserable when working towards our goals.

Such is the efforts involved with weight loss. We might not enjoy all of the disruptions or the bland foods or having to do without our favorite cookies and chips while relaxing in the late evening hours - but if we stay true to our weight loss plan - if we make time for weight loss, then we will reap those glorious rewards. And in the process, perhaps we'll even add a few years to our life so that we can keep enjoying our kids, our pets and even a few of our prized personal possessions.

In Summary: Find time to diet - to lose that unwanted weight. The healthy rewards are great.
