Shake Me Cherry, a Diet Shake Recipe

Serves 2  for about 125  calories each

2 cups of ice cold skim milk
1 cup of frozen cherries

1 teaspoon of REAL vanilla extract

Blend the mixture until it is very thick. The frozen cherries will assist in reaching that consistency.

After the skinny shake ingredients are fully blended, they are ready be to transferred to your pretty beverage glass or mug.

Recipe for Quick Green Broccoli Soup

You will need the following ingredients for this recipe:

2 cups of chopped broccoli, cooked (about 100 calories)
1 cup of shredded or thinly sliced gruyere cheese (446 calories)
1 cup of low fat milk (90 calories)

Simply combine the cheese with the milk and heat until the cheese is melted. Add the chopped cooked broccoli.

Gruyere cheese tends to melt very easily. If you like your broccoli soup thinner, add more low fat milk.

This recipe makes several servings. Enjoy with a wedge of crusty whole grain rustic bread.

Pan Roasted Broccoli Recipe, low calorie

The broccoli needs to be as fresh and tender as possible for this diet recipe. Wash and chop into sections as desired. Place a bit of extra virgin olive oil into a non-stick skillet and allow to heat.

Add the fresh broccoli and salt and cracked pepper. Turn so that the broccoli roasts evenly. On the last couple of turns, sprinkle with lemon pepper.

Serve with a side of whole grain rice, bread and lean roasted chicken or fish.
