Mary Ann or Ginger, a Diet Shake Recipe

Serves 3 for about 155 calories each

2 cups of ice cold skim milk (180 calories)
6 gingersnaps
(100 calories)
1/8 teaspoon of ground ginger

1 cup of frozen cherries*
 (71 calories)
6 Tablespoons of light, reduced fat whipped topping

Blend all ingredients excepting the reduced fat topping until the mixture is light and frothy. Make certain that all of the ingredients are blended well so that the skinny shake can be easily sipped.

Next, you can take this drink in two different directions. Both are fun. Both are easy. Both are exciting! We can add the topping to the top of our skinny shake - or we can fold it into our cherry-ginger mixture. Either method tastes great. If you fold the topping into the cherry mixture, you'll end up with a light texture that you can enjoy with a spoon or that you can sip. If you add the topping to the top of the diet shake, you may wish to use a spoon to enjoy the topping and then sip the thick milk mixture.

As a preparation note, the frozen cherries will allow the liquid to reach a thickened stage.

*If you don't have frozen cherries on hand, then fresh or canned will also work excellently. You'll need to add a small amount of crushed ice, however, to thicken the skinny shake.

The cherry is a natural super food and this awesome gift from Mother Earth herself can assist you greatly in the areas of: better health, weight loss and weight loss maintenance. A serving of cherry juice before activity and exercise may even dispel some of the soreness associated with such. Cherry juice may also alleviate pain for those suffering from joint issues.

Let's peer at the nutritional values of frozen cherries before we move onto our spiffy recipes and suggestions for tiny cookies.

If you like to serve sexy food, then you don't need us to tell you that sprinkling crushed cookies over topping adds beauty for the eyes to behold.

A beautiful presentation can even make food taste better. The eyes often fool the palate.

On that note, let's view some of our favorite more unique recipe tips for tiny cookies:

- Do you like how banana pudding tastes as soon as it is prepared? The cookies are still crunchy.

If so, add chopped tiny varieties of cookies to sugar free, low fat pudding and enjoy directly after preparing. Some fabulous combinations include: vanilla or cherry pudding; vanilla or lemon instant pudding and tiny gingersnaps. Be sure to use the lower fat, no sugar varieties to keep caloric and dietary fat content lowest.

- If you enjoy how banana pudding tastes after it sits in the refrigerator a while and all of the ingredients have married well, then you'll want to allow your pudding to rest a while before you enjoy.

Simply crush or crumble your favorite tiny cookies - toss into the prepared low calorie pudding and place into the refrigerator after transferring to pretty dessert containers.

- Spoon a bit of frozen low fat topping between two tiny cookies; seal in plastic wrap and place into the freezer for at least one hour.

You can even add slices of fruit to the topping before placing between the cookies which will add nutritional value to your snack.
