What's delectable, delightful and delicious?

Why our Goddess of Guava diet-friendly shake, of course. There she sits on her royal throne decked-out in her golden thong.

Or, is that sarong?

Nonetheless, with rings on her fingers and bells on her toes, this goddess knows how to shake up her diet - the healthy weigh.

Skim milk, tantalizing guava and fresh pineapple create a skookumchuck of heavenly proportion - all  locked inside this lush diet drink.   Here's to you, Goddess of Guava.   Clink.

Goddess of Guava, a Diet Shake Recipe

Serves 3 for about 100 calories each

1 ½ cup of ice cold skim milk
1-3 ice cubes

1-3 packets of Splenda or Equal if extra sweetness is desired

1 sweet guava, peeled (smooth-skin, unblemished, very fragrant)
1 small can of crushed pineapple (allow 140 calories and don't drain off the juice)

Blend well and pour into chilled glasses. Enjoy ice cold. Enjoy with a few dancing men, or a band of lost gypsies.

Fruit Cocktail in a Cloud, a Low Calorie Recipe

You will only need three ingredients: one container of reduced fat whipped topping thawed, 1 can of fruit cocktail that is thoroughly drained and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Imitation vanilla will work just fine and you may enjoy the flavor more than the vanilla extract.

Also, to ensure that the fruit is thoroughly drained, use a strainer placed over a container that will catch the juice. If the cocktail is packed in its natural juice, then keep the juice and you can use it in other recipes - or you can simply enjoy it on its own.

Pour the vanilla extract over the fruit and stir gently to coat the fruit. Again - very carefully fold the fruit into the whipped topping that has been fully thawed. Work carefully or the topping will collapse - and who wants that?

Serve this light dessert in a pretty serving dish. Top with a bit more low calorie topping if desired and dust with any of the following: sugar crystals for a beautiful sparkle, ground cinnamon or decorating sprinkles in any color that you wish.
