If you have never tried crystallized ginger - oh boy, are you in for a delicious treat! It can be shaved and added to all sorts of recipes to deliver a unique flavor and enhance the recipe.
One of our favorite ways to use crystallized ginger is in Oriental stir fry recipes. Start with your basic lean meat; let's use extra lean strips of beef for this recipe. Next, we'll add our favorite orange-ginger Oriental sauce to the beef and cook in a pan on the stove top - or you can use a wok if you prefer.
Next we'll add our favorite selection of healthy vegetables including broccoli florets, snow peas, shredded carrot, chopped onion and water chestnuts. Finally we'll add just a bit of grated crystallized ginger.
We'll serve this delicious stir fry over a bed of whole grain rice and we can even enjoy an eggroll with our meal.
