Weight Loss Tips for Cranberries
That one little berry contains some awesome nutritional benefits, particularly when that one little berry teams-up with a few of its friends. Like all natural foods, the cranberry is very low in caloric content - and contains virtually zero dietary fat.
The juice of the cranberry is a bit tart so it's often combined with other fruit juices to offset the bitterness, to add sweetness as well as enhance flavor. The juices of all varieties of grapes, raspberries, cherries and strawberries go wonderfully well with cranberry juice.
Let's review the nutritional data for cranberries and then we'll hop to our weight loss tips surrounding this healthy addition to your diet plan. First, let's examine them in the raw. As we can see, they are a good source for natural dietary fiber as well as Vitamins A, C and K. In the following data chart we'll examine the nutritional content of this healthy berry in its dried state as well as an unsweetened juice.

Weight Loss Tips: Cranberries
To add a tart, sweet flavor to coffee cake recipes, add only half the recommended amount of oil and use whole cranberry sauce for the remaining amount. The whole berries will add texture to the recipe and the sauce will create a moist flavor without those dreaded fat grams that are mined in oil. After all, oil is 100% fat.
When you prepare your next salad for meal time, add a few dried cranberries to the mix. It can take a dull salad to a gourmet level, particularly when a teaspoon of chopped English walnuts are also added.
Speaking of nuts, the cranberry pairs well with the following: walnuts, pecans, pistachios, almonds and macadamia nuts. It also pairs very well with pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds - with the hulls removed, of course!
Try mixing 100% cranberry juice with carbonated water, much as we did in our skinny drink recipe above. You'll only need a tiny bit of the 100% juice. And you can add a bit of table sugar or sugar substitute for extra sweetness if you wish.
