The Diet Prince tried the first tasty-looking drink, but it was too heavy for his diet plan.

Next, he tried the second diet drink that looked prettier than it tasted. Too ugly - so nope, it just wouldn't do at all.  

Lastly, he tried the Cinderella's Sweet Slipper drink which was contained in a tiny crystal slipper - and he found it absolutely perfect for his weight loss plan.

So low in calories - so rich and tasty! A special treat indeed.

And now, we'd like to share this sweet, low calorie drink recipe with you. Enjoy it on its own or share it with a meal. Might we suggest the following diet menu: one pan roasted chicken tender, one serving of carrot and raisin salad and a whole grain bread selection.

Recipe for Cinderella's Sweet Sipper - Serves 1 for about 120 calories each

1 cup of ice cold skim or reduced fat milk
1-3 ice cubes

1-3 packets of Splenda or Equal if extra sweetness is desired

½ teaspoon of Imitation Rum Extract

½ of a ripened banana

Blend until frothy. Pour into a chilled crystal slipper – whoops – that’s SIPPER and serve while it is ice cold.

Recipes Containing Bananas for Your Weight Loss Plan

Reduced Calorie Banana Pudding Recipe

You will need the following ingredients to prepare this recipe:
1 large box of sugar free, reduced fat instant banana OR vanilla pudding
3 cups of reduced fat milk
1/2 cup of reduced fat sour cream
1 Teaspoon of vanilla extract
Reduced Fat Vanilla Wafers
Fresh, ripened bananas
1 small container of reduced fat whipped topping

Prepare the pudding with the reduced fat milk as directed on the package. Add the vanilla extract and the reduced fat sour cream.

Now it's time to create our banana pudding. If you have a crystal-type peek-a-boo container, the pudding will look absolutely lovely as you'll be able to see the layers.

Start by placing a layer of pudding into the serving bowl. Add a layer of sliced banana. You can slice the bananas as thick or as thin as you wish. Next, add a layer of vanilla wafers. Continue the process until you almost reach the top of your serving bowl, allowing room for the whipped topping.

Add the whipped topping; crush a few vanilla wafers using the rolling pin and plastic bag method, then sprinkle them on top of the banana pudding.

Reduced Calorie Banana Rum Cake Recipe

You will need the following ingredients to prepare this recipe:
1 banana cake mix - use your favorite brand
1/2 cup of reduced fat sour cream
1 Tablespoon of rum extract
1/4 cup of chopped pecans or chopped walnuts
1 cup of mashed banana - the riper the banana, the sweeter the cake
3 large eggs

You will also require the recommended amount of water for the cake. But you can forget about the recommended oil as the nuts, sour cream, eggs and banana will create a moist texture without all that fat.

Dump the cake mix into a mixing bowl. Add the recommended amount of water; add the eggs, the extract, the reduced sour cream and the banana.

Mix until you have a smooth batter. Carefully stir the nuts into the batter. Bake as directed on the package in a tube pan, a coffee cake pan or a bundt pan.

This reduced calorie banana rum cake goes exceptionally well with both tea and coffee.
