What's for Dessert?

Can you really indulge in sweet after meal treats and continue to drop unwanted fat? Sure ya can - as long as that streak of indulgence doesn't run too deep.

Let' take a look at the items offered on the Jason's Deli menu. Obviously, the fruit cup is a wonderful selection at a tab over 200 kcals but there are a few others that stand out.

What about the Banana Pudding? Only 130 kcals. And then we have the Strawberry Grape Delight at about 84 kcals for four ounces.

The Gingerbread Muffins are quite tiny - but they are very delicious. Every time that we visit this restaurant, I certainly make room on my meal plate for one.

The ice milk is also very delicious an low in caloric values; one serving with a cone will cost your about 150 kcals.

Menu Items to Avoid While Dieting

While the Baklava, Carrot Cake, the Cheesecakes and most of the cookies are absolutely divine - they simply contain too much energy values in order to be a part of your weight loss plan. If they were the only thing on the plate, that would be one thing - but of course, not such a positive thing because in order to meet the dietary needs of your body you really need to enjoy a main course and leave the dessert for last.

If you must have a higher caloric selection - you can do that. Just order and enjoy a bit and take the rest home with you so that you can enjoy it later. With careful planning you can still remain on track with your weight loss plan and that's the objective.
