How Often Should You Weigh? | Weight Loss Photos: Before & After | What is That White Filling in Donuts? | How to Lose One Pound The Emperor's New Diet Clothes
Are you hearing what you want to hear about your diet - or the Diet Truth and nothing but the truth? Most of us have read the story of the Emperor's New Clothes. It took a child to point out the truth. Now you may ask, "How in the world does this story relate to dieting?" We're glad that you asked! In an effort to answer that question, we need to ask the following questions: 'Have you ever asked anyone if they think that you're getting fat? That you look plump? Chubby? Chunky? Heavier? Like you've gained weight?' Friends and family tend to be polite, most mother in laws excluded. Nonetheless, the pat answer is generally, "Why no! You look wonderful. OR, you sure don't look like you've gained any weight to me." The Diet Truth is this: If you find the need to ask others if they think you are gaining weight, look inside of your own self for the truth. Obviously, there is a reason that you feel uneasy and unsatisfied with your appearance. If you find that you are putting on weight, grab the Diet Torch and run with it! Get the added baggage off before it becomes second skin. Tom and I find that when you allow an extra pound or two to stay on for a while, the longer the pounds stay on, the harder they are to get off. Everyone has days where they just feel fuller, but if you find that thought continually circling, get to the bottom of things. Many times, weight gain is temporary, depending on gender, the time of the month, the types of foods that one has eaten the day before, and so forth. So don't ponder, just do! For you!
