Searching for a Heart of Diet Goals

Yeah, you've got one alright!  We'll help you find it at Diet Bites.

Wanting to lose weight but your heart just isn't into dieting? If so, I'd be willing to bet that you've been on a plethora of diet plans in your life. You probably reached your weight loss goals a time or two, then went on to quickly regain the weight.

In addition, you may find dieting boring. A diet may last a few days, or as little as a few hours at this point. You may also be a Fad Diet Shopper, but in your Dieting Adventures you often discover that:

- you don't enjoy the foods on the diet plan and/or
- the foods on the diet menu are too expensive for your budget and/or
- the diet plan is too difficult to understand and/or
- the diet plan is too exotic and the foods are too hard to prepare.

You may also have a keen dislike for exercise and find difficultly in NOT stressing out while dieting.  Dieting is indeed very complicated these days.

If this sounds familiar, Diet Bites wants to help you find a Heart of Weight Loss Goals - something that you can think of that will KEEP you on your diet until all the unwanted weight is gone.

Here are some ideas - but they are only ideas. YOU must be the one to find that certain something that will make you WANT to work hard on your diet plan so that you'll end up RUNNING over the Diet Finish Line - not dragging. You should always diet for YOU, but having something in mind that will motivate you makes a big difference in keeping that Diet Motivation under lock and key. Here is our short list:

You will see some people that you haven't seen in a while in just a few short months. You want them to meet a thinner you.

Do it for your kids or grandchildren who deserve a healthy parent or grandparent to spend their life with.

Do it for health reasons. If the body gets too fat it may have need of a motorized vehicle just to get through the food market. With too much extra weight, the body has issues walking - breathing. It's difficult to turn the head so that the individual can look behind them, thus making driving more risky. And speaking of driving - it's more difficult to fit behind the wheel of the car when too much weight is in the way, much less enjoy a ride at an amusement park with the kids or grandchildren.

It's also more difficult to stand for long periods of time when the body is too fat - or for the body to bend to collect something from the ground as the knees are too plump and not strong enough to lift the weight back into a standing position.

Unfortunately, too much weight can cripple the body and take away things in our life that we normally do not appreciate - such as simply moving about throughout our day and having need of a wheelchair just to get about.

Troubled by Diet Thoughts

In addition, whenever we are on a diet there is generally one thought that lingers in our minds and tends to torment us both day and night. That thought is, "I'm on a diet and I can't eat as I'm used to eating."

One of the secrets to a successful weight loss plan is to retrain the dieter's way of thinking. The solution is to redirect our thoughts onto something that we enjoy - something pleasant - something that will take our thoughts off of our weight loss plan and place them onto something positive. Here are a few suggestions to get you started:

Do you like art? If so, purchase a paint-by-number kit and get busy. If you're an advanced artist, create some magic on a canvas.

What about taking pictures? Compiling your pictures into a personalized scrapbook?

Consider volunteer work at your local homeless or pet shelter if you enjoy helping others.

If you enjoy cooking - then prepare some gifts for those that you love. At some point you'll have to get over your 'fear of eating and diet failure' and one way to accomplish such is to strengthen your willpower when working in the kitchen. Yes - you can cook and lose weight too and yes - you can cook and resist eating while you're doing such.
