Joy, Sweet Rapture - Time for Donuts!

If you're on a weight loss plan it doesn't mean that you must hide or shy away from all your favorite foods. One exception of course would be chicken fat or liver that is smothered on a daily basis.

But when it comes to dessert type foods - you can make room in your plan for such. One of the grandest errors made by dieters is cutting loose all suspect foods from their eating plan. Then when the plan ends, they haven't worked on developing an eating pattern that they can continue to follow during the weight management phase.

Unfortunately, the result usually creates panic - and amid the panic and confusion in deciding what can and cannot be added to the menus going forward tends to result in regaining lost weight.

This isn't to say that if you add donuts to your eating plan that you'll never gain weight again. But it is to say that by doing such, as well as by adding other foods that you like - you'll be able to learn how to manage serving sizes and amounts so that you'll keep the lost weight off forever.

Exceptions to the Dietary Rules

Remember how we mentioned chicken fat and liver earlier in this article? If not, you either have a very short-term memory or you're blocking these foods from your vision - and who can blame you for doing such! We sure don't!

Nonetheless, our point that there are times when we must use our good sense, even when liver or fat isn't involved in the decision making process. In this situation, the Frozen Blends at Krispy Kreme are the choices.

While we can work to fit an occasional doughnut into our eating plan and while it can still be considered a healthy plan, there are certain foods and beverages that just won't fit smoothly.

We can go ahead and enjoy them, but we'll have to take and trim other foods from our menus and snack times in order for them to fit without experiencing an increase in weight on the bathroom scales.

Such is the case with the Frozen Blend menu. On that note, let's see what's on the menu:

In Summary

The fat grams in the blends average from 13-16 grams for small, 19-26 grams for medium and 22-26 grams for large. The large frozen raspberry blend will cost you 123 carbohydrates.

We must say that we've never ordered or tasted any of the above choices because they are just too  high in Kcal values and because of such, the flavors - no matter how tasty, can justify the energy values.

For 400 Kcals, we can enjoy a hearty meal. We can have an enchilada dinner or a couple of lean homemade tacos and a side of rice - or a cup of pasta and marinara with room for a side salad dressed with low fat dressing - or a gourmet sandwich comprised of lean meats, low fat cheeses and hearty vegetables along with a cup of soup. And this is just for the 12 ounce size! Think about what we could enjoy for over 700 big ones.
