Can I Have Pizza & Still Lose Weight?
We are often asked if Italian Pie can really be part of a weight loss plan? To be more specific, a 'healthy' plan.
The answer is yes.
Pizza is all too often given a bad rap being accused of being 'a piece of bread loaded with fatty cheese' but those are very twisted facts.
The last time that we looked, bread was in the Grain Group of the official American Food Pyramid, and cheese was still residing in the Dairy Group. And of course - when its skim based over full-blown the fatty acid content becomes healthier.
While some versions of pizza are going to be too steep in caloric values to fit easily into your weight loss plan, there is a good selection of them that certainly will, quite smoothly.

If we go for the thin crust versions as well as those topped with vegetables we can improve greatly in the area of nutritional values.
