Easy Cherry Chicken Recipe, Low in Calories
1 cup of cherries cooked in the microwave until liquefied. Add no calorie sweetener to your personal preference. Stir and pour over baked chicken breast.
Oh wow, the nutritional values of fresh cherries are exceptional and of course, cherries are a super food.
They contain zero cholesterol, and zero caffeine. They are rich in potassium with 18 mg per one tiny package.
And when the package increases to one cup - a standard serving size, the potassium increases to 342 mgs.
Diet Cherry Bread Pudding for Dieters
You can make a very quick bread pudding using either fresh or frozen cherries. If you have about five minutes, you can pull this recipe together. You will need the following ingredients:
1 slice of white bread, torn into pieces
Start by melting the margarine and then add all of the remaining ingredients. Stir and place into the microwave for about 4-5 minutes. Allow to sit for about a minute or two before eating. Makes one serving.
The reduced fat margarine contains about 20 calories, the ground cinnamon contains zero calories - the milk about 45. The cherries contain about 44 and the bread that we used, 50. Total values: about 160 calories. That's pretty nifty for bread pudding and the serving size is quite generous.
One cup of cherries without the pits contains about 100 calories. They also make a very rich, low calorie glaze.
