Which is the healthiest choice? Bacon Bacon Cheeseburger OR Zesty Turkey Pannido?  Kill the clown or kiss the cook?

On sight, the Jack in the Box Pannido Trio look like pretty lean guys made with almost all healthy ingredients from the food pyramid: lean meat, cheese, and bread PLUS one not so healthy ingredient - spread.  So, is the Pannido really lean, or incognito mean?

Which is the "healthiest" choice? Which has more fat, saturated fat, calories, and carbs? During our nutritional evaluation, we found some surprising stats, with one lingering question:

'How can a salami based sandwich contain less than a turkey based one?'  

However, don't pass on the Jack in the Box Pannido just yet - which by the way, are quite delicious and do contain some very health-wise ingredients!  We have some great suggestions to cut the calories without ditching the nutrition benefits - , as well as the calorie count for the three tasty Pannidos  - only at Jack in the Box.

Diet Bites Recommendations:

1. Order without the special sauce OR with mustard.  OR, bring along your own LIGHT dressing.

2. Order as-is, then split with a friend.

3. Eat half and save the rest for later.  The Jack in the Box Pannido is very generous - enough for two servings.  When the sandwich is cut in half, the calorie count isn't bad.  Cut the dressing and substitute LIGHT dressing - and you've got quite a delicious meal deal that will do two generous meals. You'll even have room for a side salad and a piece of fresh fruit.
