No matter how carefully you plan, you're probably going to experience a 'Bad Diet Day' somewhere along The Old Diet Trail - a day when you feel like RUNNING to the local bakery and cleaning out all the racks. A full tum-tum tends to be a happy tum-tum.  Many diets fall by the wayside due to Bad Diet Days - and you sure don't want that to happen to your diet!  After all those days, weeks and sometimes months of making healthy diet choices, you'll want to ensure that your diet stays on track.

 

When a Bad Diet Day strikes your diet plan, try the following diet-wise tips:

- Think of your tummy of as an unfilled balloon. It doesn't take long to 'blow it up' until it pops. Believe me, I can wolf down a dozen Tollhouse Cookies in a winky if I wanted to. So I have to stop and think, "Are these few seconds of heaven worth a week of Diet Hell?" because that's about how long it will take to 'pop' back down to size.

- If you find Bad Diet Days continually nipping at your heels, take a good look at your diet plan. Are you eating enough bulk? Enough fat? Are you incorporating treats into your diet plan? Rewards? Are you eating fun and satisfying foods or rice cakes and unseasoned soy tamales? O-lay down those tamales and put something tasty into your Diet Plan!

- Do you find yourself continually thinking about your diet? If so, try to focus on other issues in your life - 'fun issues'. You may be sending yourself subliminal messages that trigger these Bad Diet Days.

- You may very well avoid this type situation by telling yourself, "I must be fixing to drop a few pounds on the scales!" In my experience, when toughing out Bad Diet Day Feelings, that's exactly what happens - a big drop on the scales!

After experiencing a Bad Diet Day YOU know what do!  Re-focus, look at your Diet Plan and continue forward. No looking back and no more derailments!
