The recipes for diet-friendly shakes are simple and easy. The base is almost-always a low fat milk or skim milk - and if you don't like skim, then opt for 1% or 2%.

If you're a whole milk lover, you may not even recognize that the Diet Shake base contains less fat and calories. If you find that you simply don't like anything other than the whole milk, simply reduce the size of your serving by 1/4th or you can just add the extra calories to your diet plan.

And finally, we'll make use of some flavorful flavorings and extracts which contain zero calories. Take note that the following low calorie shake recipes are based on skim milk contains 90 calories per 1 cup serving. All of the following Diet Shake recipes contain about 100 calories each.

Pineapple Diet Shake Recipe

Blend the following recipe ingredients: 3/4 cup of low fat milk, 1/4 cup of frozen pineapple and just a splash of pineapple or vanilla extract.

If you don't have frozen pineapple on hand, simply use fresh pineapple or drained canned pineapple and add a bit of crushed ice to the recipe - about 1/4 cup.

The crushed ice will assist in thickening the diet shake recipes. If more thickness is desired, simply add more crushed ice before blending.

Cherry Diet Shake Recipe

This recipe will make enough for 3 shakes. Blend the following recipe ingredients: 2 cups of low fat milk, 1 cup of frozen cherries, 1 container of light, low fat cherry cheesecake yogurt.

Chocolate Mint Diet Shake Recipe

Blend the following recipe ingredients: 3/4 cup of low fat milk, 1 Tablespoon of powdered cocoa powder (dark chocolate or milk chocolate), a dash of mint extract or flavoring OR you can use one mint covered in chocolate if you wish.

You'll also need to add about 1/4 cup of crushed ice for thickening purposes and a spoon or two of table sugar. No calorie sugar substitute also works well but take using sugar substitutes over long periods of times and don't over-use the product.

Peanut Butter Diet Shake Recipe

Blend the following recipe ingredients: 3/4 cup of low fat milk, 1/4 cup of crushed ice, 1/2 teaspoon of whipped peanut butter (whipped contains fewer calories than solid peanut butter). Whipped peanut butter contains about 140 calories per serving (2 Tablespoons); this recipe calls for 1/2 teaspoon.
