Weight Loss Tips to Help You Lose 100 or More Pounds
If you have 100 or more pounds that you would like to lose, plan to commit to these items:
at least a 12 month time commitment, or an average of 1 week for every 2 pounds that you want to lose
be willing to learn about the foods you need to eat
implement healthy recipes into your daily diet
become involved in something that you like to do both physically and mentally
slowly implement exercise into your daily routine
Before you begin, you must seek the advice of your doctor. Why? There may be an underlying cause for your weight. Also, your doctor should approve the following plan before you begin.
You should be congratulated for tackling your weight and getting off those excess pounds. The weight loss process needs to be a 'happy' time, not a 'I'm so depressed over my weight' time.
Many individuals have asked me if it is really possible to lose all their unwanted weight. And my answer is always, "OH YES!" I did - going on two decades ago and I've managed after all these years to keep the weight off. Was it easy to lose over 100 pounds? No; it was very difficult. But the amazing thing was that I was so shocked and delighted over the new things that I experienced as the pounds were lost. I discovered my knees again - and I really did have a neck.
Think of your situation in this manner.... You didn't gain all your weight overnight. It slowly bonded to you.
And that is the key to losing weight. It must slowly unbond.
Yes, it's going to take time as you don't want to jeopardize your health. While these television shows featuring weight loss are often brutal and aggressive, anyone that is over 50 pounds overweight should be concerned about putting excess stress, pressure and excessive exercise into weight loss.
Doing such puts the individual at great risk for serious health consequences, including death. I've watched public interviews on these-type shows and heard one trainer voice concerns about the participants - about being worried over what might happen.
While losing weight is fantastic, it's not worth dying over. It's just common sense that individuals that weigh 100 or more pounds should take weight loss at a reasonable pace, allowing their body to adjust to the healthy things such as activity and a wholesome diet.
On that note, if you stick to your commitment, you will be successful! You must believe that you can lose to your recommended weight.
Think about this... 'In your mind, you are already thin. You are picturing yourself standing there, in your mind, thin. You have lost all of your unwanted weight.' You are there in your mind. We just need to get your body there too.
