Dieting? Think Like a Kid to Lose Weight!

One of the best ways to lose weight is to think like a kid. Kids are always on the go, ready to climb any wall - I mean hill, or jump any rope, or ride anything equipped with pedals and wheels. In fact, the dictionary could accurately define the word 'activity' as 'kids'.

So, if you're trying to get fit, go dust off your skates - or buy some new ones and get moving towards your weight loss goals today. Some other great ways to escape in mind and body are riding a bike, shooting hoops, hopscotch (ask a neighbor to play), flying a kite, running, jumping rope, and pitching horseshoes.

Have a Ball!

Exercise balls as big as Jupiter have made their way over the horizon of Diet World, but they aren't nearly as much fun as a ball in play. Any activity that involves a ball will help you melt away the pounds. And it's not the ball; it's what you do with the ball.

There's football, volleyball (for the socialites), basketball, soccer, baseball, tennis, dodge ball, kickball, tetherball, golf, beach ball, medicine ball, bowling, croquet, bouncing a ball, shotput, ping pong, even jacks!

Creativity vs Activity Level

Think about some of the activities that you enjoyed when you were a child. If you liked to color, buy a box of crayons. If you liked to paint, then get involved in painting. Even though these activities aren't strenuous, they will keep your mind occupied, and that is very important for the dieter.

Summing it up!

The point of implementing these activities into your diet is to make it fun! If something isn't fun, you'll be apt to become bored and just quit. So make it fun!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go fly a kite then work on a lovely little Paint by Number.
