Diet Rewards, The importance of rewarding yourself for diet success!You begin your diet like a Tasmanian Devil on the trail of a feisty bunny, fast and furious. A few weeks pass, then suddenly you're the bunny and the Tasmanian Devil's now on your tail - I mean trail! We've said it before and we'll say it again - it's tough when you're on a diet! Then something crummy happens as time goes by. Lettuce, rice cakes, and popcorn begin to taste like cardboard - even your diet butter tastes like cardboard; greasy cardboard. If you're passing a pastry shop when this moment hits, the results can be tragic. All those hours, days, weeks and perhaps months of dieting are blown away - not because you 'give in' and binge at the pastry shop. Failure stems from continuous bingeing, which tends to happen when dieters are too stringent. It's important to reward yourself from time-to-time so you'll stay on track. Remember, it's a balance of quantity and food selection. Being too stringent influences your mental outlook during diet time. If you want a cupcake, then you CAN have a cupcake; just be sure and adjust your daily food intake accordingly to allow for the extra calories. Just about all packaged cupcakes and rolls contain approximately 200 calories each. If you're sick of morning oatmeal, then go ahead and have a cupcake. In addition, be sure and take your multi-vitamins and calcium. Vitamins help balance our electrolytes and the digestive process - which can in turn influence weight loss. Add plenty of vegetables to your diet. Experts tell us to choose our vegetables in this manner: - Fresh veggies are the best choice because they're REALLY fresh and packed with the highest amount of nutrients.
