My name is Farah and my official diet began on Valentines Day, 2003. My goal was to lose 50 pounds.

I have a job where I am on my feet all day long. I am a stylist. The only thing that looked good about me when I was so fat was my hair.

I had a quote that said:

"There is no wind beneath my wings cuz I'm too fat to fly."

That is pretty sad now that I reflect on that.

 

I was to ashamed to give my weight stats.  I started out at 205 pounds.  And if I had kept going I would have never stopped. I was on a feeding frenzy.

To start, I looked at the weight charts at Diet Bites. They said that I could weigh as much as 155 for my height so that is where I almost am!!! Yeah!!!

I am 5'5" tall and have always carried my weight well. But when I look at old photos I cannot believe how fat I was. It is amazing what 50 pounds does!!!!

I may discover that I may need to lose a few more pounds, maybe to 135 or so. Another 15 pounds will not be easy to take off. But like Sky says, I want this to be my last diet. And once I get there I NEVER want to gain this BITCH WEIGHT back again!!!!!!!!

 

If you are reading this and thinking about going on a diet, I hope my story helps to encourage you. I will not lie.  It has not been easy dieting. I was hungry at times but even when I was fat I was hungry ALL OF THE TIME!!!! So it was not that bad now that I think about that.

 

Thank you Diet Bites.  Without all of you here, especially you Sky who has given me such great support by all the articles that I read to motivate me, I would have never been so successful.

If you are dieting and read this please DO NOT GIVE UP!!! Miracles do happen!!!

 

I choose the photo at the beginning of my story to use because it made me think that I sorta like what I see in the mirror right now. I do not care if I am broomstick-thin.

 

The important thing is that I breathe easier now and standing up all day is not so hard anymore.

 

And I am in my normal weight range! YEAH!!!! And I have a yellow outfit that I can now fit into which I bought to help motivate me.

 

Right now, I am 2 pounds BELOW my goal weight! Yeah!!!! I have decided to lose just a FEW more pounds. This is what I am thinking. I want to never get over 150 pounds again. That means if I am at 145 or so that it will make it real easy to keep my weight in check.

Again, I could not have done this without my Diet Bites family. I love you all!!!!!
