Jell-O No Bake
Real Diet Cheesecake Dessert
We've skinnied
this fabulous dessert just in time for summer!
Weighing in - in this corner is our Full Blown Cheesecake -
6 servings at 370 calories per slice, and almost 30 fat grams of fat!!! And in this corner, our Skinny Full Blown Cheesecake -
6 servings at 225 calories per slice and 9 grams of fat!!
Better yet - we couldn't
tell the 'Fatty Cheesecake' from the 'Skinny Cheesecake'! That's a total savings in calories of 135 calories per slice and about
20 grams of fat per slice. For a few calories more, you can cap
your pie with fluffy whipped
topping!
Begin with
a box of Jell-O no-bake cheesecake. They offer a reduced calorie
version that can be skinned further still using the tips below.
Most any boxed no-bake cheesecake will work, so make the base
from your favorite brand.
How'd we do this?
Crust - substitute 2 tablespoons of sugar for 2-5 packets of
Splenda or Equal and 6 Tablespoons of melted margarine for 6 - 8 Tablespoons
of refrigerated no calorie butterspray.
Filling - substitute 1 1/2 cup of whole milk for 1 1/2 cup of
skimmed (80 calories per cup) milk.
In fact, we're so Pie Skinny that we're going to add a little
fluff to our masterpiece.
After filling sets, add 1/2 of an eight-ounce container of Cool
Whip Free (or your favorite generic brand of whipped topping that would equal
15 calories per 2 Tablespoons).
Add about 30 calories per slice for a total of 255 calories.
Keep in mind that this is a scrumptious HUNK of pie - an entire
1/6 - NOT the standard 1/8. That's a lot of pie! Fat grams hover just
under 10 grams per slice.
What a diet deal! Let's do the Peacock Strut!
