Oils vs Solid Fats

Which is best, using oils or solid fats? Because solid fats are higher in saturated fat and trans fat, oils are a healthier choice.

Saturated fat and trans fat are the bad-boys linked to increasing heart disease risks and are also linked to tasty goodies such as cakes & icings, cookies, oleo and microwavable popcorn. Solid fats are also lower in beneficial monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats than oils.

FOODNOTES:A solid fat will retain its shape at room temperature - such as margarine. However, in some high-solid-fat foods such as cheese and whole milk, the fat remains invisible.
