Fruit Group: Your body requires a minimum of two servings per day and it's so easy to get these in; you can start with this meal by adding sliced fruit to your cereal bowl.
Or, you can add it to plain low fat yogurt - or mix with a spoon of whipped cream cheese and use this mixture for the top of your English muffin or bagel. Vegetable Group: This category often gets neglected amid the morning meal dash - but it doesn't have to be that way. While a serving of beets or corn on the cob might not be appealing this early, a sauteed mix of mushrooms, onions and bell peppers along with baby spinach can turn a cheese omelet into gourmet delight. Diet Recipe: Quick PancakesLet's make use of the pre-made frozen varieties which are huge time savers. Some taste better than others and it's not always the name brand ones. Pick your favorite brand and place them into your toaster slots. The toaster works so well because you can add the pancakes in their frozen state; the centers will heat while the exterior crisps to a nice golden stage. Remove and add one pancake to a small plate. That's the size you'll need for this meal; top with 1/2 cup of fresh sliced strawberries or 1/4 cup of fresh blueberries. Add another pancake, then top with another 1/2 or 1/4 cup of fruit, accordingly. Spray the top with reduced fat whipped cream Total calories equal about 275 when strawberries are used.
