Dieting Articles: Winter Weight Loss October Through December

Written by Diet Bites

We've made it to the last quarter of the year and this is the time that Diet Bites refers to as 'The Golden Feasting Quarter'.

If you went on a weight loss plan at the beginning of the year as part of your New Year's Resolution, if you had up to 100 pounds to lose - then you are close to meeting your weight loss goal - or you are already there. So a special congratulations to you!

This is a huge achievement. Now your focus should shift to weight maintenance - keeping off the lost weight forever.

If you started dieting about mid- year, then you have probably dropped about twenty to thirty of those unhealthy pounds. Again - congratulations to you if this is the situation.

If you are currently entertaining a weight loss plan, this is a very tricky time of the year to go on a diet.

It's extremely difficult to achieve permanent weight loss success in the best of situations. The success rate of doing such is less than 5%. So once you start to diet - you want the results to last, and you don't want to be quitting your plan mid-stream.

If you decide to move forward with your weight loss plan, we'll support you as much as humanly possible.

Another option is to simply do the 'no diet' plan. In this mode, you would choose only healthy foods for your daily diet without counting calories or being extremely restrictive.

When the holidays arrive, it would be your goal not to gain more weight. In fact - starting today and moving forward - if you don't go on a diet, then you should make it your primary goal not to gain more weight. It's great if you can lose weight; but just do not put on more pounds.

Try to be very cautious with your selections on the holidays. Choose wisely - and don't go ape.

It's so easy to get lost in the festive moment, but once you wander too deep into that dark, scary forest - it's difficult to find you way back home again.

In summary, diet if you will - but do not gain more weight through the remainder of the year. These Diet Bites articles can assist and are packed with weight loss tips and low calorie recipes that can fit right into your healthy weight loss plan.
