Diet Bites Journal - October 31 Weight Loss " Lodged within the foggy mist Halloween materializes...." Halloween tends to kick-off the holiday season. However, this year I have been attune to some subtle changes. First, our temperatures appear to have been warmer than normal for October. There were days when we hit the mid-90's when our region typically enjoys the mid-80's. Another thing that I've noticed is that the local stores aren't pushing the Christmas season down their shopper's throats. Generally, it's not unusual to be shopping in August and hear Bing Crosby dolling out his delicious rendition of " I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" . Unfortunately, it's a dream that will remain a dream in this part of Texas. We don't get enough snow each year to make a With the holiday season ringing in, I'd like to set forth a challenge to you. Please go hop on your weight scales then come right back! Waiting....waiting....waiting - great! You're back. Now jot that number down either on paper or in your memory because on January 2nd - I want you to hop back onto your weight scales again and compare the numbers. Your goal - NO MATTER WHAT YOU CURRENTLY WEIGH - is to either remain at that number OR weigh less. Too often all the holiday goodies bring forth unwanted pounds that often remain adhered to the body for months, years, decades or a lifetime to come. By refusing weight gain to stick around far after the holidays are all rung out - isn't easy but it's well worth your effort. In the coming weeks, I'll provide dieting and weight management tips to help guide you safely through the season.
