Diet Bites Journal - October 18 Weight Loss

Time had put a pinch into dinner preparations this evening, so I relied on my trusty kitchen pantry deliver a healthy, low calorie, delicious meal.

Prepackaged foods are a Convenience Hero when the clock doesn't have enough minutes AND prepackaged foods don't have to be high in fat, sodium and calories.

Within 15 minutes, a hearty dinner was ready and waiting on the table. These were the picks of the liter this time out....

 
Roast Chicken Dinner
1 Chicken Breast, Boned & Sliced in half lengthwise
Hungry Jack Mashed Potatoes
Green Giant Sugar Snap Peas, No Sauce
Canned Cranberry Sauce
Biscuits
Biscuit Gravy - Pioneer Gravy Mix
Green Tea - Passionflower Variety
Light Margarine
Olive Oil Flavored Cooking Spray (for cooking chicken)
 
Calorie Breakdown
1 Chicken Breast, Boned & Sliced in half lengthwise - 125 calories per serving
Hungry Jack Mashed Potatoes - 90 calories per serving
Green Giant Sugar Snap Peas, No Sauce - 40 calories per serving
Canned Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce - 110   calories per serving
Biscuits -   100 calories per serving
Biscuit Gravy - Pioneer Gravy Mix - 45 calories per serving
Green Tea - Passion Flower Variety - 0 calories per serving
Light Margarine - 40 calories per serving
Olive Oil Flavored Cooking Spray - 0 calories per serving

I enjoyed the following: 1 serving of potatoes, 2 servings of the sugar snap peas, 1 spoon of cranberry sauce, 1 biscuit, 1 serving of gravy (on potatoes) and green tea with no calorie sweetener for a total calorie count of about 350 calories.
