Fast Food Doesn't Have to be Fat Food

My husband Tom and I spent the day collecting groceries for my dear old mother.

She was so appreciative - always so concerned about putting anyone 'out'.

Because we got a late start in the day Tom suggested that we enjoy lunch in the city to save time.

More Good News for Dieters

The corn tortilla resides in the grain group of the Official Food Pyramid there's also some vegetable group guys - as well as protein and dairy guys laced inside the Taco Bell Crunchy Taco.

Whenever you're trying to drop a few pounds and are dining out at Taco Bell, there are a few foods that are high in calories and just a tiny bit can cause Calorie Overload - thus triggering weight gain.

Foods to avoid OR keep to a minimum include:

sour cream when regular full-blown is used;

cheese which isn't reduced fat or skim;

avocado; it's a healthy fat but quite high in calories.

When in doubt of calorie content, simply request a nutrition guide from your server.

It's always a great idea to know the nutritional make-up of the foods that you want to order before the order has been placed. Once the food goes down the hatch, the damage has been done; too late - too sad. But you're a smart little dieter and that's not going to happen, now is it?
