Diet Bites Best Daily Diet Journal for November 18 Weight Loss " Back in the Diet Saddle Again...." Tom and I arrived home yesterday evening from our extended fall photo trip - and it was certainly a trip to remember. We went to so many natural areas and took so many wonderful photos that it was difficult to return to the 'real' world. On that note, it's good to get away from the Rat Race every now and then. It helps get the body revitalized and renewed - even if we are busier at play than we would be during work time. Playing can sure get busy - particularly when one is rubbing elbows with Mother Nature. And she is so beautiful this time of year - all gussied up in shades of amber, gold and red. And she's the prettiest lady in red that I've ever seen. Because we were gone much longer than we anticipated, I am busy updating the Daily Diet Journal for the last several days - so if you're keeping tabs I hope that you'll take a quick peek at these entries. With Thanksgiving just over the horizon we have so much to do and so much to discuss this week in the Diet Journal entries. If you are trying to drop those unwanted pounds, I'll bolster your motivation to do just that as best as I can. I've been there and trying to lose weight during the holidays can get dicey. However, there's no need to feel deprived as far as goodies are concerned. I've got diet tips out the kazoo which can compensate weight loss even while enjoying your favorite holiday goodies. And with colder weather blanketing a good deal of the country, it's time to visit the recipe box and pull out some killer soup recipes. On that note, my tip of the day is: Enjoy a serving of your favorite soup before lunch and dinner. Soup tends to be low in calories and is very filling - so you're apt to eat less during meal time. Even the cream-based soups aren't as deadly as most would have you believe. As a rule of thumb - allow about 125 calories for your serving of soup.
