Diet Bites Journal - November 3 Weight Loss " Ramen Noodle Golden Chicken....." After spending time in the kitchen this afternoon, I came up with an extra tasty chicken dish that is not only easy to make, it's also economical and healthy - even though some might argue that Ramen Noodles aren't. The key is that when healthy foods are added to the mix and the Ramen Noodles are added, the number of servings is increased to three generous servings which contain about 225 calories each. I hope that you'll give this tasty low calorie recipe a spin. It only takes a few minutes to make. Ingredients for Low Calorie Ramen Noodle Chicken - 1 large chicken breast, boned with skin removed & cubed into bite-sized pieces (260 calories) - 1 package of chicken flavored Ramen Noodles (380 calories) - 1 cup of raw spinach (7 calories) - 1/4 cup of chopped onion OR use a mix of chopped celery, onion and bell pepper (about 20 calories) Using cooking spray, add chicken and onions to the pan and when chicken turns golden, add the spinach. Next, add 1 cup of water and when it reaches a boil, add the noodles and the seasoning package. When noodles separate, allow to cook until they are tender - about 2 minutes. Drain off any excess liquid. Add a bit of no calorie butter spray if desired which adds a really nice buttery flavor to the dish without adding calories. I served our Low Calorie Ramen Noodle Golden Chicken with sugar snap peas and fresh bread and boy - was it ever tasty. Another perk? It warms up nicely so it makes a great leftover meal which might fit just inside your next lunch pack! |
