A Personal Favorite Low Calorie Recipe Today I'd like to share one of my favorite low calorie recipes. And as is the case with most of my recipes - this one can be prepared in a flash.
I call this it, " Fried Potatoes" - yes fried, although you won't be pulling out your bottle of trusty oil. For this one - let's use the big guns - your no calorie cooking spray. Why? Because it contains virtually no calories. You'll also need a non-stick skillet and a can of sliced new potatoes - the ones that can be purchased at your local market for about fifty cents. You may like some salt and pepper too. I sure do. Here is the step-by-step process for ultra easy Fried Potatoes: 1. Spray pan with cooking spray and place on burner. 2. Open the can of new potatoes and drain thoroughly. 3. Lay slices into the warm pan - carefully. 4. Add salt and pepper. 5. When potatoes start to sizzle, turn them over and salt and pepper the other side. Use additional cooking spray if needed - but for goodness sakes, don't spray it near the stove flames. (Ka-blew-ie!) 6. Remove and enjoy. The entire can contains about 150 calories. What a Diet Deal, eh? Tom and I have grown very fond of this low calorie, low fat side dish which goes well with so many foods - and it only takes a jiffy to prepare. We hope that you will too!
