If you are planning on beginning a new diet plan after Valentine's Day, then good for you! You are going to fall in love with that healthier, thinner, leaner you. You may not realize it, but your heart is beating for joy and amid your efforts, it's going to get healthier and healthier as the days quickly go by.

Many individuals wait until after 'Chocolate Day' to begin a rigorous weight loss plan so that they will be in tip-top shape when those warmer months come sailing in. A leaner body equals less sweat and more energy - as well as a more attractive appearance when it comes to shorts and swimsuits.

And if you are currently on a diet plan, please stick to your Diet Guns as Valentine's Day is peeking over the horizon. Plan now for a chocolate or two - as well as a romantic dinner but whatever you do - don't fall off the Diet Wagon. Remaining true to your diet plan equals wise 'picking and choosing' not only on Valentine's Day, but every day. For Valentine's Day, consider all your calories for not only this day, but also for   the days leading up to this special day, and of course the days that follow.

Example Sky's Daily Diet Plan for February 12 Weight Loss

If you'd like an example of a diet plan, here is what I intend on filling my daily diet with today. As a note, today I will be choosing water for my main 'beverage'. Due to my height (5'), my age, my frame size, and my energy level for the day, I'm keeping my calories at 1,400 for the total. I always make lunch my largest meal of the day. As my activity level winds down, so does my food intake.

Breakfast: 2 grain group, 1 dairy group

2 whole wheat pancakes, plain (180 calories) (As a note - pancakes are absolutely delicious plain!)

1 cup of skim milk (80 calories)

 

Snack: 1 fruit group

1 orange  (65 calories)

 

Lunch: 3 grain group, 2 protein group, 2 vegetable group, 1 fruit group

2 chicken/veggie eggrolls + sweet n sour sauce  (400 calories)

1/2 serving of brown rice (100 calories)

1 apple (80 calories)

 

Snack: 1 dairy group

1 serving of regular butterscotch pudding (120 calories)

 

Dinner: 1 dairy group, 1 protein group, 5 vegetable group, 2 grain group

1 slice of mozzarella cheese  (60 calories)

1 slice of lean deli turkey (25 calories)

4 cups of raw baby spinach (28 calories)

2 slices of tomato (15 calories)

1 serving of Miracle Whip Light (20 calories)

2 thin slices of French bread toasted with butter flavored cooking spray (150 calories)

 

Bedtime Snack:

1 serving of instant cocoa (60 calories)
