If you enjoy following our daily diet journal, you may have noticed that we're replaced our baby New Year's chick with a red heart. We thought this was the most fitting topic for the month of February - a month dedicated to love and a healthy heart.

This month, look for articles relating to relationships and how they impact your weight, tasty low calorie heart-healthy recipes (including some very sweet recipes), activity tips that will strengthen your heart and lungs, as well as savvy weight loss tips.

And recently we mentioned a couple of sweet recipes which we had hoped to post today - but I wanted to give one of them another test drive - just to ensure that the measurements are accurate. Hopefully, we will be posting them in the coming week. One is a delicious low calorie (almost no calorie) recipe for no-cook 7 Minute Frosting - so we hope that you'll look for that. Tomorrow we'll be concentrating on a few low calorie recipes that might go well at game time on Sunday.

This is one of those days when time moved much too quickly. So much to do - so little time. But if you're trying to drop unwanted pounds, odds are - the time dragged by. At least that was the case when I was on my final diet - over ten years ago.

With the new month at hand, it's a good time to clean the slate if you have been making tiny mistakes in your current weight loss plan. It's okay - because after all, we are human. But the more mistakes that we allow to add up - no matter how tiny those might be - the more apt we are to put our weight loss goals aside for another day.

It's like a spool of thread. If you wrap the thread around your fingers, you can easily break free when only a few threads are involved. But as more and more threads are looped around your fingers, it becomes impossible to break free.
